New Care Minister

Victoria Atkins has been appointed Secretary of State at the Department for Health and Social Care (DHSC). She has previously held roles in His Majesty's Treasury, Ministry of Justice (MoJ) and the Home Office (HO).

 

During her time at MoJ, she worked on prison operations and policy, youth justice, tackling violence against women and girls, rape and serious sexual offences. At the HO, she focused on safeguarding and vulnerability. This role included work on domestic abuse, honour-based violence, sexual exploitation and FGM.
